Weekend Runners was founded by a small group of casual runners who wanted to create a space that reflects the pace and priorities of everyday life. The site was initiated by Mark L., a long-time weekend jogger, who found that most running communities were either geared toward competitive athletes or lacked consistency. His vision was simple: build a space for people who love to run without needing to track miles, push limits, or chase records.
Our team is made up of volunteers and contributors who share a commitment to casual running and thoughtful living. We include part-time writers, route curators, local group organizers, and web developers—all working together to maintain a calm, functional, and community-friendly site. None of us are professional athletes, and that’s the point. We're people who enjoy running as a personal, manageable part of life.
If you have questions, suggestions or want to share your story, we are always open to communication. You can contact our team through the "Contacts" section of the site. We try to respond to all requests within a few days and treat each member of our community with respect.
